Rich and Scott arrived in Japan safely and a little hairy. So the first day in Japan, they decided to go to a local barber shop in Iwade for an old fashioned straight razor shave. The shop was pretty busy, so we felt confident that they must do a good job. Overall they did a great job, however it was a little too thourough. Both boys began with warm towels on their faces. Then the barbers started applying shaving cream up on their foreheads. The next thing we knew, their foreheads were being shaved. I had no idea that that area of the face got hairy enough to shave. For the next 24 hours the forehead shaving experience became a running joke. "Five o'clock stuble up on top", "Hair growing back heavier and darker", "Stubble", etc. The jokes are endless. So far neither Scott or Rich have noticed any unusual hair regrowth or stubble on their foreheads. That is a huge relief for me. Actually Rich went back and got another shave, minus the forehead this time. Pictured above, Rich getting razored.
