Rich found an article that stated that the cheapest 5 star hotels are found in Malaysia. So he booked our last night in the
Hotel Maya, Kuala Lumpur. When will we ever be able to afford a 5 star again. The hotel was extremely posh and even served us complimentary chocolates upon our arrival. Our room had a huge bathroom with a see through shower and nice large tub. It also had a wall sized floor to ceiling window that looked out upon the famous
Petronas Towers. The towers are now the 2nd tallest buildings in the world, behind
Taipei 101; however they are the tallest twin towers in the world. Our last night in KL involved
a bubble bath, room service, walking around the towers, drinks at the sky bar in our hotel, and then a nice deep sleep in a very comfortable bed (sure beats our futon). Our stay was so nice that I failed to wake up when the alarm went off the next morning. Fortunately we are quick packers and were out the door in record time to make it to the airport.
