I volunteered at this year's Mochi Fest. Here are some photos from the event.
I was very happy to see my friend Akihiro while volunteering. He runs with DRC and I almost didn't recognize him out of his running attire. I also met Kyoko. She helped my family contact relatives in Japan after my grandmother passed away. It was kind of embarrassing b/c I saw her name tag and went up to introduce myself and I started crying. Then I did it again when I said goodbye to her. I'm even tearing up now as I write this; shameful.
Here is a photo of the cute kid's choir. There were quite a few performances, including taiko, koto, and a flute solo.
