On Friday we headed to Portland for a mini-vacation/marathon destination trip.I signed up to run the half marathon, while Rich was going to run the full. We really didn't prepare very well for this race, so we just decided to have fun. Here is a nice view of Mt. Hood from the plane.
Our good friend Hilary lives in Portland and offered to show us around. We met Hilary when we lived in San Diego. She had also signed up for the Eugene half. So in preparation for the marathon, we immediately headed out for drinks. This maybe wasn't such a good idea. We had a lot of fun, but I unfortunately paid for it the next day.
