Off to Sapporo and what a great way to begin the trip; with a cheesy airport photo. Pictured from left to right is Hannah, Sean, Gemma, and Callum. These were my traveling buddies, oh not pictured is Jarod. He met us in Sapporo. Overall the trip was amazing and it's hard to believe that they make such huge snow and ice sculptures. They are unbelievable! Day 1 consisted of checking into our capsule/onsen hotel, freezing our butts off, buying heat packs to place all over my body to keep warm, viewing some sculptures, celebrating Gemma's birthday at midnight, drinking too much in order to celebrate Gemma's birthday, listening to Keith (our know it all waiter who thought we (stupid gaijin) didn't know anything about Japan), and a night ending snowball fight.
