We celebrated Rich's birthday this year by spending the weekend with some of our good friends in Osaka and Kobe. The evening began by having dinner and many margaritas at Hermanos. Pictured above is David, Brian, Tanya, Rich, and myself.

After dinner we headed to
Cafe Absinthe for more drinks and some hookah. This place has nice drinks and a great atmosphere. Friendly English speaking waitress recommended the mint flavored hookah. It was nice.

Snap of us at Absinthe.

We then headed to the "Nasty" (better known at Pure) for some ass shakn fun. We meet up with Deep , Miho, and Aki. This is us waiting in line freezing.

On Sunday we ventured to Kobe to eat at a popular Brazilian restaurant on Harbor Island. We had heard a lot about it and also read a really good review on it. Rich craving meat and the need for something different picked it for his official birthday dinner. It's all you can eat for a set price of 2,400 yen. The food, which consisted of lots of meat and a huge buffet of salads and side dishes, was amazing. I highly recommend it. The staff is a mix of Japanese and Brazilian. They play fun music and the Brazilian waiters are entertaining. If you have an appetite and the spare time, it is well worth the journey to Kobe for this meal.

Great photo of Rich with his birthday dinner companions Tawnee and Lara. Harbor Island in Kobe was decorated in the Christmas theme. Click
