The map shows the route from Hurst, TX to San Diego, CA.
1,341 miles and 19 hours 4 mins until we reach South Beach for fish tacos (oishi so). This is the path we will begin later today. I'm sure that we will stop (to pee, for gas, and of course for the famous date shake in the desert) and that 19 hours will stretch into more like 20 something hours. Even though the trip is more of a mission to collect our storage, we want to make the most of our day (maybe a day and a half; fingers crossed) in SD. We've already been discussing the necessary SD eateries that we must hit. Obviously South Beach, the Mission (for amazing breakfast), Bronx (for pizza), and probably Santanas or something similar (for carne asada burrito or muchaca breakfast burrito). Surely I will gain 5 lbs during this very short visit to SD. As usual, I'll be taking photos of the journey. Wish us luck!
