More Snow Festival Fun - Day 2

Day 2 began with a slight hangover. Not too bad considering how much I drank on day 1. In fact I got up and funtioned normally (for those that know me well, you know that a hangover renders me incapacitated for the entire next day). After some breakfast we headed off to see the sculptures. Again it was freezing, however the sights definitely made up for the cold. The evening brought dinner at the Kirin Beer Garden. We were suppose to meet up with other JETs from all over Japan, however we were late. We really didn't mind though, because we were still able to get a table and eat (pictured). Notice the giant beer tower; we went through 3 of them. We basically paid a flat fee for all you can eat and drink. There was a grill pit in the middle of the table where we cooked up vegetables and lamb. We also had sushi. Dinner also brought some interesting Japanese party goers. The night ended with multiple drunk trips down a snow slide, tequila shots, a dip in the onsen, and then sleeping in a reclining chair b/c we didn't have a capsule reserved.
