Pictured is Jarod with icicles on his glasses. It was really that cold. This is it for the Sapporo photos. Only ten in this batch. Basically we went to Sato Land where there was a giant snow slide, a giant snow maze, and many more sculptures. Unfortunately we didn't get to slide the giant slide b/c the line was a 3 hour wait. It was crazy. Sato Land was away from buildings and there was a crazy strong wind rushing over the entire field. It was so cold. That evening we had a final meal at a really cool place called Nuts. The photos will reflect that jainken (rock, paper, scissor) really was played to see who would do tequila shots. Needless to say, a couple of people left the bar really pissed (drunk for us Americans). Also the photos will reflect that one of our group had some airplane paperwork troubles. Basically being drunk, leaving your ticket on the floor of the onsen, almost missing your flight, and having to purchase another ticket caused Sean some problems. Fortunately the sign informed him that he would be refunded the second ticket charge and only have to pay a replaced ticket fee. In summary, if you ever have the chance to go to the Sapporo Snow Festival don't pass it up
Hey Mercedes,
ReplyDeleteLooks like ya'll had a great time in Sapporo. Sorry I missed out, but at least I can see some of the sights via your pics! Oh, and the beer bongy thing looked like a bundle of fun! As did the slide. Glad everyone made it back despite ticket escapades :) !
That about neatly sums it up, I'd say. Good pics too, far better than mine, that's for sure...
