Right now Rich is about 6 hours into his flight back to the states. Don't think it has really sunk in yet that he has left. Maybe in a few days. Anyway here are some photos from the few Sayonara gatherings we had this past week in his honor. The photos begin with everyone at Traders, the oishikatta Mexican joint in the shi. Then the second location in the photos is the Sighing Man Restaurant (that's kind of the translation of the Japanese name); use to be the Iron Hen (not sure where that name came from). The last shots are at Punjab, our favorite restaurant in Japan. It's a great Indian restaurant owned by a true Punjabian. In addition to running a great restaurant, the owner is also a famous author in India. We love eating there. The photos have a lot of the usual suspects that we go out with. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteAre those the kanji? I have worried or anxious man for that. This is like a puzzle problem to me.
it's"男は辛い”。

ReplyDeleteI was having to guess on the tu if it was su or tsu or what.
The kanji make it more clear (kind of) but karai means hot, spicy; hard or trying. Is this a double entendre? ;-)
